Function and Performance

  • No, you can only enter a PIN on the mower, which is required by the mower’s safety regulations. If you forget your PIN code, you can reset it on the app. Go to Settings-Mower-Reset PIN code.
  • Robotic Mowers supports only one map stored in the app. If you have more than one separate lawn, you need to set up a channel to connect them. And if you relocate the mower to another location, you will have to delete the map and build a new one.

  • Yes, to improve the mowing effect, Navimow uses a planned, systematic mowing path, and it can also change the mowing path direction (or mowing path pattern).

The current logic for changing direction is:

After updating the firmware to 1.4.6 or above, when the entire lawn is mowed once, the mowing path pattern will turn with a 30° angle to avoid leaving visible wheel tracks.

    9af09367-6f1d-4857-b1af-f9e0f8b78a97.gif

We will continue to optimize this logic for a better user experience later and then update your Navimow to the latest version through OTA.

  • For now,  Robotic Mowers doesn’t support connecting to smart home systems.

  • Mainly IoT (Internet of Things) functions:

    1. Remotely control the mower via the app while you are away from home, such as mowing, returning to the charging station, creating a mowing schedule, adjusting the cutting height, etc.
    2. Remotely monitor the status of your mower via the app while you are away from home, such as the mowing process, battery level, etc.
    3. OTA (Over The Air) firmware updates.
    4. Anti-theft ( Available with Robotic Mowers app V1.2 and above, only for 4G models).
  • The 4G-supported models manufactured after the 39th week in 2022 are also equipped with Wi-Fi as a standard setup, but we recommend you use 4G to connect to the Internet. Because with 4G mode, the network connection is more stable. The Anti-theft feature only works when the 4G cellular network is available.

  • Segway Navimow currently has 4 models: H500E (Wi-Fi), H800E (4G), H1500E (4G) and H3000E (4G).

Considering the Wi-Fi signal coverage is limited when the garden area is too large, that may cause the network signal to be lost, and 4G can perfectly solve this problem and provide better network signal coverage. So only H500E is equipped with WiFi and the 3 other models with higher mowing capacity use 4G.

Note: Navimow only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

  • Please check the following chart for detailed specifications of the Navimow H-series:

    SPEC_00.png

    SPEC_01.png

  • The area capacity of Robotic Mowers H-Series indicates the maximum garden size for each model.

For each Robotic Mowers H-Series model, we recommend using it in a smaller garden than the area capacity.

    H500E can cover lawns within 500 square meters;

    H800E can cover lawns within 800 square meters;

    H1500E can cover lawns within 1500 square meters;

H3000E can cover lawns within 3000 square meters.

  • Robotic Mowers H-Series provides a bumper sensor and ultrasonic sensor (optional) to detect and avoid obstacles. However, the sensors cannot detect obstacles with the height of the pet excrement. It is recommended to check your lawn and remove all obstacles before mowing regularly. Keep the pets away from your lawn when mowing.

Note: For H3000E, the ultrasonic sensor is already equipped on the mower. For H500E, H800E, and H1500E, you can buy it separately and install it on the mower.

  • It is not necessary. The tyres are made by solid rubber.

  • The rated capacity of H500E and H800E batteries is 5.2Ah. The rated capacity of H1500E battery is 7.8Ah. The rated capacity of H3000E battery is 10.4Ah.

  • The rated power of a single driving motor (hub motor) is 22W, and the rated power of the blade motor is 38W.

  • The charge time of different models varies. Generally the charging will be completed in approx. 3h to 5h.

  • After 500 cycles, the battery can retain more than 70% of the original capacity.

  • Robotic Mowers is an advanced robotic mowing system that uses a virtual boundary, eliminating the need for complicated perimeter wiring. Easy to operate and manage, Robotic Mowers gives you more free time to do the things you love and an effortlessly impeccable lawn with every use.

  • Robotic Mowers is an advanced and innovative robotic lawn mower with virtual boundary and smart navigation.

    1. Robotic Mowers uses a maintenance-free virtual boundary. Say goodbye to the complicated perimeter wiring.
    2. Unlike traditional robotic lawn mowers, Robotic Mowers cuts systematically and the mowing efficiency is improved significantly.
    3. Robotic Mowers is a breakthrough product in almost all aspects. BladeHalt sensor, ultrasonic sensor, 54 dB(A) noise emission, IPX6 water resistance, smart app control, in-app cutting height adjustment, etc.
  • Robotic Mowers is intended for domestic use. It can be used to mow the lawn in the front yard and back yard of your house. The lawn size can be up to 3000 square meters. It is also applicable to the private front yard containing a driveway, walkway, or sideways.

  • Robotic lawn mowers have been in the market since 1995, benefiting both residential and commercial users in many ways:

    1. It is safer.

It is reported that lawn mower ranks 4th in consumer products involved in domestic work accidents (top 3 are kitchen, ladder, drinking glass; data from Injuries in the European Union). Thousands of customers got hurt by traditional walk-behind push mowers every year. In contrast, a robotic lawn mower works fully automatically, making it much safer.

    1. It saves labor and time.

Instead of spending hours of hard work on mowing every week, you can just leave the job to a robotic lawn mower.

    1. It keeps your lawn perfect all the time.

Robotic lawn mowers cut more frequently and cut a little each time to ensure your grass stays healthy. Unlike traditional mowers which allow the grass to grow longer and less attractive between cuts, a robotic lawn mower keeps your lawn carpet-like all the time.

    1. It is also quiet.

With low noise emission, you can run it at any time without worrying about disturbing your daily activity or your neighbours.

  • H-Series models have slight differences in appearances and sizes (e.g. tire color, cylinder decorative ring).

The main differences in functions are related to the size of the mowing area, battery capacity, ultrasonic collision sensor, network connection (4G/Wi-Fi), GPS anti-theft feature (only on 4G models), etc. Refer to the parameter table below for the details.

    Segway_Navimow_spec.png

    Other than that:

    1. H800E and H1500E models come with one year of free data after activation. The H3000E model comes with three years of free data after activation.
    2. H1500E and H3000E have a more extended limited warranty period, and please refer to our warranty policy for details.

    3. H800E, H1500E, and H3000E that are manufactured after week 39 of 2022 are compatible with wifi as well.
  • When mowing, the motor of the mowing module drives the blade disc to spin. The spinning blade disc will generate centrifugal force to keep the blades pointing outside so that the blades can cut grass. When hitting an obstacle, the blade will turn inside.

  • You don’t need to. Navimow cuts a little bit each time and cuts more frequently. The tiny clippings become the best natural fertilizer for the grass.

  • We do not recommend mowing at night, because there might be some dew causing the grass to be wet and slippery. Mowing the grass at night is also not helpful to the overall health of the lawn. Mowing at night will also affect the activities of small animals, and even hurt them.

After the VisionFence is installed, the mower will stop mowing and automatically go back to the charging station after nightfall. The ‘Mowing at night’ switch is disabled by default. If you need the mower to keep mowing at night, enable the ‘Mowing at night’ switch. This will turn off the VisionFence detection and only the bumper is used to avoid obstacles. Go to Settings>MOWER>VisionFence Sensor to enable the switch.

  • Robotic Mowers is IPX6 waterproof, making it safe to be washed with a garden hose. However, mowing in the rain may hurt the grass and leave tracks on the lawn. Thus, Navimow is equipped with a rain sensor. When raining, it will stop mowing and return to the charging station.

  • The material of the mower body is ASA. ASA has improved weather resistance, especially UV resistance, making it an excellent material for the outdoor environment.

Installation

  • In an open area, the mower can be away from the charging station for no farther than 100 m. If you have a large lawn, it’s best for you to choose an open area in the middle to place your charging station.

  • Possible behaviors:

    • The ambient light of the robotic mower will be flashing blue (satellite signal not ideal but can be used) or flashing yellow (poor satellite signal) while mowing.
    • When the VisionFence is not installed or installed but turned off, the robotic mower will return to the charging station automatically if the weak signal lasts for more than one minute. In this process, it will keep searching for the signal. If the signal is recovered, the mower will come back and resume mowing. When the VisionFence is installed and turned on, the mower will still mow the grass according to the planned path. The mower will only start to move randomly to try to retrieve the positioning signal until the positioning accuracy is poor for 15 consecutive
    • The robotic mower may run into an off-limit island or out of the boundary and frequently displays location-related error codes, such as 6010, 7006, and 6002.
    • The signal is unstable during map building, resulting in unexpected zigzags in the map.

    Solutions:

    • The operation of Navimow is based on the satellite navigation system. Heavy shading in some outdoor scenarios can be very challenging for the Navimow H-Series. You can use the checklist to make an initial assessment of your lawn to determine if Navimow is suitable for your lawn.
    • While mapping, you can refer to the signal strength displayed by the signal check in the app to make adjustments to the antenna location or specific areas.
    • If your checklist result is “recommended”, but the weak satellite signal still occurs frequently, please contact the after-sales service for further diagnosis.
  • A temporary fence is an additional assistance to protect the areas that you don’t want the mower to enter.

    mceclip0.png

You can always set up an off-limit zone via the app, yet in the following situations you might also need a temporary fence as a dual protection:

    • The boundary is close to a pool that you don’t want the mower to fall into under any circumstances.
    • The boundary is close to a fence or bushes, thus the satellite signal is weak at that particular spot.

You can also consider using the VisionFence as dual protection, because the VisionFence has a good two-dimensional visual recognition ability, and through training with a large amount of data, it can distinguish grass from non-grass objects, so as to avoid hitting these objects.

After setting a map successfully in the app, you will get a notification to remind you to check the satellite signal. This is important for you to decide whether or not you need to change the map or reinstall the antenna at another place.

A map with different colors will be displayed on your phone screen to indicate the signal strength. Green: strong; orange: not good enough; red: weak. If the signal is not strong, please refer to the following solutions.

satellite_signal_check.gif

1) Check the antenna signal. If the indicator for the antenna signal lights up red, find another place to install the antenna or mount the antenna on a roof or wall by using the Antenna installation kit ( An optional accessory, You can buy it separately).

2) If there is a continuous big scope of red or both red and orange on the boundary, remove anything that might block the signal or edit the boundary or set an off-limit island.

3) If there is a continuous red area on a channel, remove anything that might block the signal or set the channel at another place, keeping away from high trees and walls.

Antenna Extension Kit is an optional accessory for antenna installation on a wall or roof, improving satellite signal.

If your yard has the following features, you may need to purchase the Antenna Extension Kit and install the antenna at a higher position to obtain better satellite signals,

  •  The satellite signal is poor in the narrow path connecting the front yard and the back yard.
    antenna_scenario.JPG
  • The lawns embrace a building while other buildings are close to this building

    Extension_kit_2.png

The Antenna extension Kit can improve satellite signal reception to some extent, but the actual effect can only be determined after a trial evaluation in your location. Contact your local dealer for details.

The Extension Kit includes one extension cable (10 m), if it’s not enough, you can get an extra extension cable (10 m, sold separately). The overall extension should not exceed 20 m.

Install the charging station on a soft and flat surface. To get a strong signal from GNSS, please install the charging station and GNSS antenna in an open space with no obstacles within 2 m radius. The antenna should have a clear sky view that at least 110° of the sky is unobstructed.

location_tip.png

If you can’t find a suitable location on the ground, consider using the Antenna Extension Kit (sold separately) to mount the antenna on a roof or wall for a better satellite signal.
